Day 1: Marrakech Exploration

At around 9am in the morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel for a full day of exploring Marrakech’s highlights and attractions. Begin your historical discovery of Marrakech, a city that seamlessly blends modern life and development with a rich history, featuring important buildings, sites, and artifacts. Your morning tour includes visits to the Koutoubia Minaret and gardens, the Saadian Tombs, the El Badi and El Bahia Palaces, and Dar Si Said, which houses the Museum of Moroccan Arts.

For lunch, we suggest visiting La Grande Café de la Poste in Gueliz (not booked or included).

In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the Majorelle Garden and YSL Museum. The Majorelle Garden, created over 40 years by French painter Jacques Majorelle, is a luxurious oasis that incorporates plants from five continents. The vibrant blue villa, designed by architect Paul Sinoir, now serves as a museum. The garden is open to the public and is also home to the Islamic Art Museum of Marrakech, which features North African textiles from Yves Saint-Laurent’s personal collection, as well as ceramics, jewelry, and paintings by Majorelle. You’ll also visit the Yves Saint-Laurent Museum located adjacent to the gardens.

From this vantage point, enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding palmerie and beyond. Continue to Ouarzazate, known as Morocco’s own ‘Hollywood,’ and explore the impressive Kasbah Taourirt.

Skoura, often referred to as the ‘valley of a thousand kasbahs,’ is a fertile oasis lined with extensive palm groves that offer stunning views of the Atlas Mountains and arid landscapes. It is famous for rose cultivation, with palm groves dating back to the 12th century when they were laid out by the Almohad sultan Yacoub EL-Mansour.
